Shopping Kills

I am disgusted by the way people take shopping so seriously, especially the day after Thanksgiving.

Recent events of this past “Black Friday” shopping, is the great epitome of how badly people are more concerned with things like shopping and getting a “good deal” on something they really don’t need than they are with how they treat another person.

Here is one example:

As it details in this article, a Wal Mart employee was literally trampled to death by eager shoppers as he opened the door to the store Friday morning.

What is even more sickening is that as he was trampled and other employees were injured while trying to rescue him, is that when the store announced it was closing due to the death, several customers complained that they were unable to finish their shopping and when asked to leave they yelled about how long they had been standing in line and refused, continuing to shop.

People are scum.

Crap like this almost makes a person want to outlaw Christmas shopping. What a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of Christ (well, that is what Christmas means to some people still anyway). Let’s go shopping and beat the crap out of someone trying to shop for the same stuff we are.
