Top 4 Henry Rollins Films

Happy 53rd Hank!hank

These films are listed in chronological order by year of release.

1. The Chase
1994 action comedy directed by Adam Rifkin. Actually, the movie overall was a little on the lame side but Henry’s portrayal of police officer Dobbs was not only funny but also highly ironic. Others in this film were Charlie Sheen and Kristy Swanson. It also had some cameos by Anthony Kiedis, Flea, and Ron Jeremy.

2. Johnny Mnemonic
1995 science fiction film directed by Robert Longo. It was loosely based on a short story of the same name written by cyberpunk-genre author William Gibson. Rollins played in the film as street doctor Spider. The film starred Keanu Reeves in the title role (this movie would have been a lot better had somebody else played that role), Dina Meyer, Ice-T, and Dolph Lundgren.

3. Heat
1995 crime film directed by Michael Mann. Henry plays a small role as Hugh Benny, a bodyguard. The cast included a lot of big names like Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore, Ashley Judd, Ted Levine, Natalie Portman, Jereme Piven and Hank Azaria.

4. Jack Frost
1998 comedy film directed by Troy Miller about a musician that dies and comes back to life as a snowman. I know, sounds dumb but it is actually worth a viewing. Rollins plays the hockey coach, Sid Gronic. The title role is played by Michael Keaton. Kelly Preston was also in the film.
