New American Freedom Index 2013


The New American Freedom Index for 2013 has been released.

As stated on their site the freedom index is

“a Congressional Scorecard based on the U.S. Constitution” and “rates congressmen based on their adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements.”

Here is how the Oklahoma delegation stacked up:

Sen. Tom Coburn – 82%
Sen. James Inhofe – 71%
Rep. Jim Bridenstine – 100%
Rep. Markwayne Mullin – 80%
Rep. Frank Lucas – 60%
Rep. Tom Cole – 54%
Rep. James Lankford – 70%

Here is how the delegation from Washington State measured:

Sen. Maria Cantwell – 13%
Sen. Patty Murray – 12%
Rep. Suzan DelBene – 10%
Rep. Rick Larson – 17%
Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler – 71%
Rep. Doc Hastings – 56%
