In this Stephen Herek-directed comedy-drama film, Wahlberg stars as Chris Cole, an aspiring rock singer that gets his big break singing for his favorite band. This film also stars Jennifer Aniston, Timothy Olyphant and Dominic West, as well as several rock musicians such as Jeff Pilson, Zakk Wylde, and Jason Bonham.

The Departed (2006)departed

This Oscar-winning crime drama was directed by Martin Scorsese. It was actually a remake of a 2002 film made in Hong Kong called Internal Affairs. Wahlberg stars in this film as Sgt Dingnam. Also starring in this film were Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Martin Sheen, Ray Winestone, and Alec Baldwin. Wahlberg was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Award for his work in this film but lost to Alan Arkin for Little Miss Sunshine.

This sports biopic was directed by David O. Russell and is about the life of professional boxer Micky Ward. Wahlberg stars as the main character. Also in the film were Christian Bale (who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his work in this film), and Amy Adams.

This irreverent comedy was directed by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. Amazingly funny film about a guy and his teddy bear. Wahlberg stars as John Bennett, the film’s main character. The teddy bear, Ted, is voiced by director Seth MacFarlane. Also starring in the film were Mila Kunis, Giovanni Ribisi, and Sam J. Jones. Patrick Steward narrated the film.
