Top 13 Cover Songs

Today’s “13” list is a list of my top 13 favorite cover songs.

As much as I like a lot of their songs, I did not include any songs by the band Me First and Gimme Gimmes on this list because cover songs is all they do and I thought I would limit this list to bands that aren’t considered cover bands.

Also, I’m sure there are a lot of songs missing from this list that I’m not thinking of right now.

Anyway, here they are, listed in alphabetical order:

  1. Amazing Grace – Dropkick Murphys (traditional song)
  2. Because the Night – 10,000 Maniacs (originally performed by Patti Smith, co-writtten by Bruce Springsteen)
