This is a list I’ve been trying to come up with for a while and just haven’t been able to not only because there are so many choices but also, quite simply, I just couldn’t get it narrowed down properly. So besides there name, I will list the bands these guitarists have played with and also a selected discography of albums they have played on. So, without further a due, my list of my Top 5 Favorite Guitarists…….

GREG GINN
Bands: Black Flag, Gone, Confront James, Mojack and solo artist.
Selected Discography:
W/Black Flag: Nervous Breakdown (1978), Damaged (1981) and The Process of Weeding Out (1985).
W/Gone: Lets’ Get Real Real Gone For a Change (1986).
Solo: Getting Even (1992) and Let It Burn (1994).

STEPHEN EGERTON
Bands: Descendents, ALL and various guest spots with other bands.
Selected Discography:
W/ The Descendents: All (1987) and Everything Sucks (1996).
W/ ALL: Greatest Hits (2000) and Live Plus One (2002).
Others: guest spot on MXPX’s The Ever Passing Moment.

PAGE HAMILTON
Bands: Band of Susans, Glenn Braca’s Guitar Orchestra, Helmet, Gandhi, David Bowie (touring band), various guest spots and movie soundtracks.
Selected Discography:
W/Helmet: Meantime (1992) and Aftertaste (1996).
Other: Heat Motion Picture Soundtrack (1995).

TOM MORELLO
Bands: Lock Up, Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave.
Selected Discography: W/RATM: Evil Empire (1996) and The Battle for Los Angeles (1999).

DAVID GILMOUR
Bands: Pink Floyd, solo
