This one is a live video of the song “In My Darkest Hour.” It was recorded in Phoenix, AZ in November 2001.

This one is a video of the song “Hangar 18″ from the album Rust in Peace. This song is probably my all time favorite Megadeth song.

Here is a link to the video for “Foreclosure of a Dream”. Embedding was disabled for this song.

Man Sues Airline and Wins!

with one comment

zTruth posted this article about a man who forced to cover up his tee shirt because it has Arabic writing on it.

Apparently this guy sued the airline and won $240,000.

I say good for him and good for the ACLU.

That is just ridiculous. Making someone remove their shirt because it has foreign language text on it? Come on! Serves the airline right for that crap!

Let’s look at this from the other side of the coin. How would you feel if, as an American, you were visiting, for example, Saudi Arabia and upon trying to board a plane back to the states were told to remove your tee shirt because it said something like God Bless the USA or something to that effect? You would be screaming for some one’s head.

I say if an Arab-American is proud of his heritage and wants to wear a tee shirt in support of that heritage, NOBODY has the right to tell him otherwise. And the whole thing about making the others on the plane feel uncomfortable, those morons just need to get over themselves!

Seattle Gun Ban?

without comments

Seattle Mayor Greg Nickel wants to make guns illegal on city property. This includes making it mandatory for those with concealed weapons permits to surrender their weapons at places like City Hall. Law enforcement officers will obviously be exempt. This announcement by Nickles was prompted by a recent shooting at the Northwest Folklife Festival where 3 people were injured. Sounds to me like Nickles is trying to act like one of those mayors or sheriffs from the old wild west days that you see in movies. You know, the ones that post big signs on the entrances of their cities that say you can’t carry a gun in town. Part of me applauds Mayor Nickles for having the courage to stand up to the state that tells him that he is not allowed to do that. The other part of me thinks he is being a little naive in thinking that banning guns on city property is going to keep guns off city property. It’s the old argument: you outlaw guns and only outlaws have the guns. A person that wants to walk into City Hall and shoot someone bad enough does not care that guns are not allowed in City Hall. If the world were a perfect place, we could outlaw gun ownership and reduce crime. If the world were a perfect place, banning guns would keep guns out of the hands of criminals. But if the world were a perfect place, there would be no such thing as guns. Any thoughts?

Shopping Kills

without comments

I am disgusted by the way people take shopping so seriously, especially the day after Thanksgiving.

Recent events of this past “Black Friday” shopping, is the great epitome of how badly people are more concerned with things like shopping and getting a “good deal” on something they really don’t need than they are with how they treat another person.

Here is one example:

As it details in this article, a Wal Mart employee was literally trampled to death by eager shoppers as he opened the door to the store Friday morning.

What is even more sickening is that as he was trampled and other employees were injured while trying to rescue him, is that when the store announced it was closing due to the death, several customers complained that they were unable to finish their shopping and when asked to leave they yelled about how long they had been standing in line and refused, continuing to shop.

People are scum.

Crap like this almost makes a person want to outlaw Christmas shopping. What a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of Christ (well, that is what Christmas means to some people still anyway). Let’s go shopping and beat the crap out of someone trying to shop for the same stuff we are.

Gas In My Neck of the Woods

with 4 comments

So up here in the Puget Sound area where I live, gas is still above $2 a gallon.

I usually buy my gas at the cheapest place in town, which is AM/PM.  Earlier tonight, I drove by one of the cheaper locations of theirs and the cheap gas was sitting at $2.19/gallon.
How much is gas in YOUR neck of the woods?
