Quote of the Day

with 16 comments

In typical partisan fashion, Red says:

“I hope President O fails in everything he attempts since I disagree with everything he has proposed…not it’s not un-American.”

Come on! Really? You hope he fails in EVERYTHING he does?!?

I understand the disagreement part. You are right. Disagreement is not un-American. I don’t know anyone that I have talked to that agrees with EVERYTHING that Obama stands for, myself included, but hoping he fails at everything? Is that really necessary?

That statement is just asinine Red. Can’t you try to be just a little bit optimistic?

  1. Obama already has nominated a Treasury Secretary who can’t do his own taxes properly. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/01/22/geithner-want-double-check-taxes/

I wonder what other geniuses he has in line….sorry I don’t disapprove of Obama, but that is hilarious…

  2. Well, if you ask many reds if disagreeing with Bush and/or the war in Iraq is un-American, the answer is yes. And we’re terrorists. So… figure that one out for me, please. Personally, I believe dissent is good.

  3. I still find it darn funny that “Reds” are conservatives while “Red” are also a nick name for communists. LOL!

  4. I don’t understand people like that. Don’t they realize that if Obama fails at everything they will be learning to speak Chinese.

IF Obama fails this country goes under.

  5. My sentiments exactly Skye.

Red does not seem to understand that if He (Obama) goes down, we all go down.

  6. The problem here is that Red seems to only care about the success of his party and ideology and not the country. I wanted Bush to succeed, even though I am a liberal. I disagreed with him and his policies on many occasions but I still wanted him to do well. We should want all of our leaders to do well. That is not to say that we don’t hold their feet to the fire mind you because that is our job as citizens, but we should still want them to succeed.

  7. lol… you all are too funny.

Communist… thats a good one, really bright.

I could care less about the Republican party and if you recall i criticized Bush and other R’s on several issues.

What most of you on the left didn’t care about was opposing our victory in Iraq would have meant horrible things for America but did that stop them (you)?

Get over yourselves already. I don’t owe Obama and Democrats anything… and I oppose virtually everything they stand for.

Obama is the least experienced, least qualified person ever elected to the office and his associates and background are corrupt and questionable… and his stances on issues are directly opposed to mine. His Vice President is a liability and commits a gaffe every time he opens his HUGE mouth.

No, I don’t hope he succeeds. I hope it’s 4 years and out for the new Jimmy Carter.

  8. What is so funny about that Red? It is a fact. Red is a nickname for a Communist. Do you deny this? If so, I’m sorry but that is completely moronic. Red is also used to defined conservatives. Fact. Nothing funny about it.

I don’t care how in-experienced Obama is, he was voted in by the people so I wish him all the best in his Presidency.

The idea that you hope he does not succeed just says to me that you hope the country fails.

  9. I guess not as much funny as ironic.

The morons that just elected a socialist President calling me a communist… gotta love it. I think you meant nazi, racist, knuckledragging redneck…. but it was cute anyway.

  10. If you actually read Steve’s comment, you would have seen Red that he wasn’t calling you a Communist, instead he was pointing out the irony of the nicknames.

  11. For the first part…moron…I did not vote for Barack Obama.

Second of all, just like Dave pointed out, I was not calling YOU a Communist. Apparently you are feeling guilty if you think I was pointing fingers.

Cute? What the hell does that mean?

  12. Steve — I totally understand the frustration you are feeling, but calling Red a moron doesn’t really help. I know it is hard my friend, but you can be the better man here. :o )

  13. Oddly enough that was actually..well, for lack of a better term, a typo. Let me re-type it in the way that I actually mean to say it:

“For this first part….THIS moron (that is referring to myself)…did not vote for Barack Obama.”

  14. well then otter… i wasn’t talking to you then was I?

As for Irony… I think I’ll stick with the socialists making a joke about communism.

  15. So instead of calling me a moron, you call me a socialist? Not that (in my opinion) being a socialist is the worst thing a person can be.

  16. Red is just refussing to actually address the topic at hand Steve. Sad really.
